Built in 192q5 by Theodore W. Slifer, who was a farmer. Widowed, he and his son and daughter-in-law, John and Maria, lived in the home until 1933 to Eligan Lena Taylor. He was a conductor for the Chicago-Northwestern RR retiring after 46 years.
