Alfred M. & Katherine Ward constructed this Queen Anne style home in 1908, although is has been modified over the years.  Alfred was a jeweler, watchmaker and optician for over 50 years, maintaining his shop on Third Street in downtown Abilene.  The upstairs sleeping porch on the east side has been enclosed.
